Directions
The eastside of the Vrijthof (terraceside) in the centre of the city will be
closed to all traffic between 11.00 en 18.00 hours (sometimes longer). Further
there will be traffic regulation with conjunctions during heavy traffic.
Therefore use these directions:
• Traveling southbound from Sittard or Heerlen/Aken
on the motorway A2, stay on the city motorway after the first traffic lights (Traffic
signs: Ring Oost).
• Traveling northbound from Luik on the motorway A2,
at junction Europaplein take the exit Ring Zuid, Centrum (wijken 11 t/m 21). |

At junction Europaplein, exit direction Ring, N278, centrum (wijken 11 t/m 19).
The Ring leads to the Kennedy bridge which crosses the river Maas.
On the bridge exit direction Centrum West (wijk 11).
End of exit keep to left lane to cross the intersection (traffic lights). The
city park is on your right hand side.
Next: first street to the right, still keeping the city park to your right.
Following this street you drive through the old city gate.
At the end take a right (obligatory), into the Pieterstraat. At the end take a
left (again obligatory) into the Bredestraat. This straat ends on the south
corner of the Vrijthof.

If you want to park your car in Parking Vrijthof, please instruct your
GPS-system to "Bredestraat". You may drive straight into the parking.
If the Parking Vrijthof is full ("VOL"), wait 10 minutes in line. Cars are
leaving the parking constantly.
Take a
check in ticket and change this in the hotel for a check out ticket. The Papenstraat and the hotel are situated behind the Bank Artesia on the south
corner of the Vrijthof.
No wish to use the Parking Vrijthof? Travelling from the Bredestraat, turn left
and immediately right. You have reached the Papenstraat. The hotel is situated
on number 11 on your left side.
